Jozani Forest’s 44 sq km, about 3% of the whole island, comprise groundwater forest, coastal forest and
grassland, as well as mangroves and salt marsh on the coast. It provides a habitat for a wide variety of
mammals, birds and butterflies. A walk through this impressive flora and fauna
is one of the highlights Zanzibar has to offer. The reserve has excellent nature trails, and our English,
French, Spanish, Italian and German speaking guides are well trained and informative.
